The Now Showing Live Arts Series has connected southern Alberta audiences with the work of Canadian and international dance and movement theatre artists since 1996. Hosted by the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lethbridge, the series presents three to six events annually, performances and residencies representing a wide range of genres. Educational and community development initiatives are central to the series’ mandate, so visiting professional artists are involved in residencies, professional development and community animation events.

Performances and residencies generally occur during the academic year - between mid-September and mid-March. Venue availability is limited. Depending on resources, we occasionally host summer residencies and performances. The curator selects all work, attending festivals, national meetings and individual performance events throughout Canada. DVD/video submissions and dossiers are accepted at any time. We make most programming decisions a year in advance.
