Advocacy and Partnerships
Advocacy Committee
www.canadianartscoalition.com/The CanDance Network Advocacy Committee meets regularly on behalf of the membership to discuss and plan advocacy goals, priorities and initiatives. The committee stays connected with the Canadian Dance Assembly’s advocacy efforts, and CanDance is an organizational member of the Canadian Arts Coalition.
Partnerships
CanDance collaborates with other organizations whenever possible, to share resources and expertise. CanDance works with the Canadian Dance Assembly on ongoing advocacy initiatives, co-hosts presenter panels with the Canada Dance Festival, and consults with provincial and national arts service organizations and artists when compiling national research. CanDance is a member of CAPACOA - Canadian Arts Presenting Association.
Alliance of Canadian Dance Networks: CanDance collaborates with all the dance presenter networks across the country: Made in BC: Dance on Tour, La Danse sur les routes du Quebec, Ontario Dances Network - Ontario Presents, and the Atlantic Presenters Alliance to host regular presenter meetings designed to foster better information sharing and tour coordination across Canada.
